About the artist
AUREN writes electronic music that takes its time. Hypnotic progressive arcs, warm analog textures and a live show where sound and light run on one clock.
Born in Colombo and raised on pirate radio and his uncle's jazz records, AUREN started playing sunrise sets on the south coast in 2017. Three albums later he headlines rooms from Berlin to Tokyo without losing the patience of those first beach nights.
His studio sits above a tailor's shop in Pettah: two modular cases, a tape machine and a window that looks out at the harbour cranes. Every record is finished there, mixed at night, and tested on a single club speaker before it leaves the room.
